Experience & Qualifications

15 years in environmental science, research, conservation, restoration, remediation, and horticulture

The summer after high school I took a Student Conservation Association position building hiking trails, and ever since I can’t imagine working outside the realm of environmental conservation. I received an undergraduate degree in environmental studies and a master’s in environmental management. A couple years were spent doing habitat restoration in the San Francisco Bay area before moving to Alaska, where the bulk of my experience comes from. Prior to starting Antheia Environmental, I worked at the Alaska Center for Conservation Science at the University of Alaska Anchorage, at then at an Alaska native corporation as an environmental scientist. I have had some excellent training opportunities over the years, leading to various certifications, including:

  • Alaska Master Gardener

  • Certified Pesticide Applicator with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation

  • Qualified Environmental Professional with the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation

  • North American Invasive Species Management Association weed-free gravel, forage, and mulch inspector

  • 38-Hour USACE Wetland Delineation Training

  • 40-Hour Princeton Groundwater Pollution and Hydrology Course

  • 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)

  • CPR/AED/First Aid Training - Wilderness First Aid - Bear Awareness and Defense
